Giannis Antetokounmpo is Getting in The MJ Mindset

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is likely itching to get back to the gym and start playing basketball again. I’ve weirdly thought about Giannis more than other athletes. Knowing that he is obsessed with fine-tuning his game and working out, this has to be killing him. Like most of us sports fans, Giannis is enjoying The Last Dance about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. He asked Bucks’ fans earlier this week about what their biggest takeaway from the documentary. Antetokounmpo shared his thoughts late last night.

Giannis learning about Jordan through this documentary is truly great. He hasn’t done any media since the quarantine, but what I would be curious to know is how much of this did Giannis know about? Jordan was a worldwide player who had a worldly impact, but how much of these games did he watch or know about? The fact that Giannis is getting second-hand knowledge about all of this is tremendous. Further, if Giannis wants first-hand insight, I’m sure the Bucks can find a way to make that happen.
This might be looking too far into this for Milwaukee, but Giannis has to be thinking how lucky he is with Bucks management. From all we know, there are no Jerry Krause’s with the Bucks’ organization. And maybe it worries him if he bolts that there could be one of those guys lurking?
