Giannis Antetokounmpo finally had enough. On Tuesday night, Giannis Antetokounmpo headbutted Mortiz Wagner and he was ejected from the game. Giannis obviously apologized after the game and called it a ‘terrible act.’ He has to do that. The league likes it when you show remorse. Giannis will get suspended for the final seeding game then be back for Game 1 against Orlando. That isn’t a big deal when you consider Antetokounmpo and others will likely be put on ice against Memphis in the Bucks’ final game. The quote from Sterling Brown after Milwaukee’s win over Washington says more to me than Giannis’ apology. The Greek Freak is fed up. He is fed up with what guys are trying to do to him. And this is a message sent to the rest of the league.

Sterling Brown on what Giannis deals with on a nightly basis: “There’s a lot of dirty, cheap shots coming his way every game….the refs have got to do a better job cleaning it up.”

I’m not saying this was planned, but if there is a team to take it out on, it’s Washington. They have a bad team, rudderless organization. Wagner also pulled some shit with Giannis in February, so, this guy has been on the shit list for a while. Giannis had enough of his antics and gave him a solid headbutt to the face. Nothing wrong going a little Zidane on him. It is also sad that Giannis has to police himself and the officials aren’t paying attention to what’s happening with Antetokounmpo. Maybe this is a wake=up call, or maybe, they’ll continue to ref Giannis like a second-rate superstar because he plays in Milwaukee.
