Giannis Antetokokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks took on the Utah Jazz last night in their second-to-last preseason game. It felt like the last warmup for the Bucks’ starters. Maybe, they’ll play against Dallas at home on Friday night, but I highly doubt many starters will. In last night’s game, we saw Giannis send a message to the entire NBA with his jump shot. He did some things that none of us have seen before. Mitch and I were podcasting as the game kicked off and both of us were getting giddier and giddier by the end of it. This is MVP-type shit that we haven’t seen before out of the Greek Freak.

Here’s the thing for the rest of the NBA, they’re completely fucked. Giannis has two MVPs. An NBA title and the dude wants more. It’s clear that he progressed his jump shot and it looks legit. Sure, it’s the preseason, but man, this looks like a complete change from years past in the best possible way. With all of the shit going on in Brooklyn and in Philadelphia, the Milwaukee Bucks are the favorites in the Eastern Conference. It’s not even close. The national media will tell you it’s the Nets, but they’re fucking lying to you because they know Brooklyn brings the dollars. It’s Milwaukee.

If we’re in the trust tree, I was excited about this season but still had the championship glow on me. Unlike Giannis, I was basking in it and just along for the ride. Now, I see this stuff and I want more. I want to pulverize everyone the Bucks are playing in the next few weeks. It’s going to be a great season and I cannot wait for it to kick off next Tuesday.
