How Wisconsin Sports Fans See a Dating Profile Boost

It has been a long time since I’ve created a dating profile. Over 5.5 years to be exact as I met my fiancee a little over six years ago on Tinder. It is hard to remember what my Tinder profile said. I never made it to Bumble or Hinge. If you’re still out there looking for the love of your life, may I recommend including you’re a Wisconsin sports fan? The dating website, Zoosk, pulled the numbers on how adding your favorite sports team to your profile leads to more messages.
If you’re a fan of the Packers, Brewers, and Bucks, which one do you put in the profile? The answer is the Green Bay Packers. Zoosk says that alerting the people you’re interested in that you’re a Packers fan will lead to 85% more responses. That is the second-highest behind the Pittsburgh Steelers at 86%. This makes sense to me. Packers Sundays are a cultural event. I remember a friend, Bears fan, talking with a girl at a bar, Packers fan, and she said ‘Well, we would hate each other for three hours then have makeup sex after.’ That’s a power move and also an example of how serious this shit gets taken in the state.
Other Wisconsin sports do numbers, but not at the level of the Packers. Zoosk does say NBA fans get the most messages compared to the MLB or NFL. But Bucks fans only get 49% more messages. This puts the Bucks in the middle of the pack with Golden State and Portland leading the way. For Brewers fans, they only get 27% more messages. Interestingly enough, Chicago Cubs see the same message rate. That doesn’t surprise me though. My significant other enjoys sports but is not a sports fan per se. But she can only take so much random baseball on a Wednesday evening.
If you’re looking for love during this quarantine, let’s add that you’re a Packers fan to your dating profile, and let’s see how that works out for you.
