Making the Bucks Eight-Game NBA Schedule
On Friday afternoon, the NBA made it known that they’re restarting their season on July 31st. While that seems far away, the league appears to have a plan in place. They will play eight regular-season games with 22 teams in Orlando. It does seem odd that they will still play in Orlando when Disney World opens after July 4th. They should play in their home practice gyms as most cities should be on the rebound from COVID-19. There are eight games on the schedule, and what are those eight games for your Milwaukee Bucks? Well to find that answer, you need to look at the postponed games.
Milwaukee would have played nine teams out of the proposed 22 teams to finish off their season. Some have wondered who the other two teams would be and my assumption is they’ll add Washington and Charlotte for balance in both leagues. If we used the games postponed in the regular season, here is what the Bucks eight-game schedule could look like to finish off the regular season.
July 31st: Boston
August 1st: Miami
August 4th: Memphis
August 5th: Washington
August 8th: Houston
August 9th: Dallas
August 11th: Toronto
August 13th: Philadelphia
The only team that gets excluded from the group is Brooklyn. Bucks do have two games left with the Nets, but it is later in the season. This feels like a fair way to do things. And my assumption is they will play these eight games over two weeks and the playoffs will begin on August 15th (A birthday present for ya boy). Bucks would need an epic collapse to fall out of the one seed, so they’re safe there. But they must finish with the best record in case the Finals can be hosted at home gyms. Bucks-Lakers playing Game 7 in Milwaukee sounds much better than Los Angeles.
We’ll see if this is how the league chooses to make the eight-game schedule or they think of it completely differently.
