Yes! I’ve been waiting for this story to happen. News came out earlier on Monday that the first pedestrian injury was suffered from a Bird scooter here in Milwaukee. It happened on Downer, and someone got taken out by one. You talk about a way to ruin your fucking day, this is it. You’re minding your own business and BOOM, you get nailed with a motorized scooter. That has to hurt the ego. The dude picked up a 100 dollar ticket for being a dumbass, but honestly, I’m sure the person who got hit is dealing with far more of an ego pain. How do you get hit with a fucking scooter?

Bird scooters are in the thing to do in Milwaukee. They are the most popular thing in the summer here in the city. You see kids and adults riding around on them regularly where the new SnoTap offices are located. I’m still trying to decide if I am in on them or not. I’m very curious to try one, but I also think my coordination skills are that of a toddler thus I worry that I will fall on my ass and scrape up my whole body. I’ve also never really been a ‘scooter guy.’ Like Razor Scooters were slightly popular when I was a kid, but they were a few years past my prime. Still, I had zero interest in riding one.
