National Media Refuses To Admit Packers Were Right This Offseason

Green Bay Packers are 2-0. It is not a fraudulent 2-0 either. They look like a juggernaut on offense. Packers have put up 85 points in the first two games. They look absolutely electric. Yet still, some national media members are holding on to the Packers not drafting or signing a wide receiver. Mike Florio came out yesterday saying ‘Yeah, the Packers are great, but what if they had another wide receiver.’ Are you fucking kidding me? We’re really doing this? To quote the great, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson… IT DOESN’T MATTER
Packers gonna win the Super Bowl and complete a 19-0 season this year and mfers gonna be like "yeah but imagine how much they'd have won by if they drafted a receiver in the first round" pic.twitter.com/k7Y1O7oAna

Pretty sure ESPN’s Mike Greenberg said something similar, but I cannot find it so Greeny is saved the smoke for now. This is a goddamn ridiculous notion. Packers are playing as good of football as anyone and we’re worried about their wide receivers? Can we not? Can someone point me in the direction of a first-round receiver making an immediate impact? Better yet second round guys. Look the Packers made a decision in the draft and this offseason that they were fine with their wide receiving group. They’re a top offense in the league thus far. What’s so hard to conceptualize about that?
At some point, the Packers will get their glory here, but who knows. Let’s say they lose to New Orleans this week. It becomes ‘Well, Green Bay’s lack of options killed them last night.’ Or ‘They’re not a true contender yet.’ There will be so much bullshit flying around. Same if they lose some meaningless game because it’s going to happen at some point in the season. The media will not give it up when in reality, the Packers feel comfortable with the guys they have. And if they want to upgrade, the trade deadline is not for weeks.
