Sports FOMO Is The Absolute Worst
We’re going to have some honesty hour to kick off our day on SnoTapWI. I had a wild day. Worked late, had to workout at night, work issue, taped a podcast with Mitch, therefore, things to do around the house were still needed to be done when I should have been laying on the couch enjoying sports like I usually do from 10:30 pm until 12:30 am. Tonight was different. I peeked in at Oklahoma City-Portland, but I’m behind on podcasts, so, I roll Pardon My Take as I’m cleaning the kitchen. Mind you, I could easily turn on TNT streaming in the other room. I checked my phone to see the game inching closer and fortunately got to see the final play. Dame hits an insane buzzer-beater and here I am with FOMO about missing out chatting sports with my Internet pals.
Hard pressed to conjure up a bigger playoff buzzer-beating dagger than a series-ending 37-footer to cap a personal 50-point night to send home a team that’s been 💩 talking you.

Sports FOMO is real if you spend time on Twitter or are just a sports fan. I’m happy I saw the shot, but I missed everything leading up to it. I didn’t tweet about because I’m reacting to one second versus being locked in all game. One of the best shots of my lifetime happened and everyone is buzzing about it yet I feel left out. It sucked. Sports FOMO is different when you fall asleep like I did for Clippers-Warriors comeback. That you cannot control, but when you’re up and doing other shit that’s when it hits the most.
It doesn’t help things that I completely missed out on the San Jose Sharks comeback. I’ve always been a fringe playoff hockey fan, and now, it’s completely gone. I know what’s going on for the most part, but it has left me compared to the last few years. I do not have the time to follow it all. Sports FOMO is real, and if you have it because you fell asleep last night, it’s not your fault. It’s not your fault. We’ll get through this together.
Charlie.
