Starks and Cook Would Be Huge Lift To Packers Offense

Reports came out yesterday that running back James Starks and tight end Jared Cook were full participants in practice. That’s great news for Packers offense which has seen its ups and downs in the past couple weeks. To get two capable starters back in the lineup possibly on Sunday could be a major difference versus Tennessee. Packers could do a lot more things with a legitimate running back and tight end back into the mix.
My assumption is they would be starting out of the gate. There’s no one at running back so Starks would get that honor. Richard Rodgers had a moment of solid play, but Cook is the tight end they brought in on a contract plus he fits the offense better. Now, these players weren’t having Pro Bowl type seasons before they were injured. Starks had some issues fumbling the football as well as dancing in the backfield before hitting the hole. Cook is still an unknown as he only played two full games before getting hurt. If Green Bay ran some of the plays they did for Rodgers, Cook is going to have some big games for this team down the stretch.
This is a good and positive boost for Green Bay. They needed injury news like this versus the negative.
