Bucks Should Apologize to Chauncey Billups For Blowing Out Teams

Milwaukee Bucks blew out another team on Wednesday night. It felt good after they struggled on offense on Sunday and Monday to get back to their home digs. They beat Indiana, 119-100, but the game wasn’t even that close in the fourth quarter. Milwaukee started the quarter on a 26-8 run and never looked back. Bucks also outscored the Pacers, 61-44, in the second half. In the fourth quarter as Milwaukee rolled that train to blowout land, ESPN color commentator Chauncey Billups said this about the Milwaukee Bucks blowing out teams. This is what he basically said with Rohan added a bit color.
Chauncey Billups: “Is the fact that the Bucks are kicking the s*** out of every team actually bad?”

Here’s the thing about this comment by Billups, it is ridiculous. This is one of those moving goal posts sort of thing. Bucks currently have the best margin of victory of any team in NBA history. Every team that ranks in the top 10 has either won the title, got to the title or went to the conference finals. The only team to not make the finals in that group was the 1971-1972 Bucks. Having a bunch of blowouts during the regular season does not equate to not knowing how to play in crunch time situations in the playoffs. Billups tried to deliver a hot take, and he fell on his fucking face.
Bucks do play a close game now and again. And guess what? It’s a good thing!
