Cleveland Cavaliers Are Officially A Hot Mess
I’m not going to lie, we don’t have much to work off of today from the local side of things. We’re in a week holding pattern before Milwaukee Brewers are back in full swing and BrewCap’s return on a consistent basis. There are other things happening in the sports world. Cleveland Cavaliers continue their downward spiral with a blowout loss on national television to San Antonio Spurs for their second straight loss. Cavaliers have lost four of their last six and are a complete utter disaster.
There’s a difference between a team ‘Who looks tired and wants the playoffs to start’ versus ‘a team who looks like they are completely lost on defensive side of the basketball.’ Cleveland never had a stretch like this last season. They lost a few games to bad teams here, and there yet nothing like this with losing four of their last six and losing the one seed. In reality, the seed doesn’t matter, but it’s crazy to think we’ve got here with Cleveland. There’s not much they can do honestly. Kyrie Irving is a piss poor defender. Same with Kevin Love. LeBron has barely done anything on defense this season which could play into he’s ultimately worn down.
Now if Cleveland could pull the wool over our eyes, but I’m skeptical at this point. Boston and Washington are both the type of teams that can beat Cavs in a seven-game series. I wouldn’t be surprised if both Golden State and Cleveland don’t make it for a trilogy.
