Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers have a friendly rivalry on Twitter. It might not be the friendliest or cordial but still, it’s fun to watch each side duke it out. No one wants to see the other happy. I’ve argued for a while that the Vikings are actually a bigger rival to the Packers than the Chicago Bears. Reason being is the Vikings do not get dominated usually against the Packers. They’ve been in the playoffs. And always seem like they have a shot against the Packers. Not surprising then that Minnesota Vikings social team created a video to get things ready for this one. The problem is I don’t get it at all. Maybe it makes sense if I do a bunch of mushrooms first, but this is one that misses the mark for me.

Minnesota was likely trying to do an attempt on Frozen. But it falls so short. The imagery when you look at it makes sense, and then the attempt at ‘Let it go’ is there, yet, it is so fucking obtuse that I have to think someone was able to put this on Twitter without their manager’s approval. The other part of it is the Vikings are a helmet with a mustache and they melt a small area of snow? What? Like how is that a diss to what the Packers are doing?

Since I have to do people’s jobs that aren’t mine. If they wanted to go with the cheese theme, why not melt the cheese and take a bite out of it? Make it a raclette or something that has some nordic roots to it? Or what about having a bunch of Vikings show up on a ship to Lambeau and talk about all the Vikings know is cold? I swear sometimes in media people try so hard to be different that they end up missing the mark.
