Jay Z’s Made In America Coming to Milwaukee?

Jay Z’s Made in America is no longer in Philadelphia. The city decided to revoke their access, and the superstar is looking for a new home to host his two-day festival. City of Milwaukee officials wrote to RocNation to consider Milwaukee for this event. The officials made their case with that the week is ‘Hip Hop Week MKE’ and having the ability to put it at Summerfest. This is a fun idea, and it would be awesome to put Milwaukee on the main stage yet the weekend does pose some problems for the city.
This same week will be Harley Davidson’s 115th Anniversary meaning that the city will already be filled to the brim. I’m not sure if Summerfest is already supporting the Harley’s 115th, therefore, it would make that unusable for Jay Z’s festival. I’m sure something could be worked out, but it would be a helluva thing for Milwaukee to pull together in a short manner of time as the lineup is completely loaded with artists who haven’t been to Milwaukee much.
The headliners for this year’s festival are a who’s who of talent including Post Malone. Say what you will about him, Malone is one of the biggest artists in America right now, and he would draw a crowd by him. Nicki Minaj, Diplo, Zedd, Miguel, Janelle Monae (Just visited Milwaukee a few months ago), Meek Mill, Jat Joe, Ty Dolla Sign and a few others. It’s hard to fathom that Philly would not want this festival in their city, and while it might be difficult for Milwaukee to make this happen, it would be some fun.
