LeBron’s Comments At Reporter Are Unsavory
LeBron James played the worst game of his 2017 NBA Playoffs on Sunday night against Boston Celtics. He scored only 11 points with six rebounds and six assists. TNT analysts Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith both made comments that LeBron looked ‘disengaged’ from the start of the evening, and Shaquille O’Neal followed it up questioning about a ‘letdown.’ After the game, a reporter asked James a question, and it led to Cavaliers star to have a frankly shitty response to him.

I hate to get on my high horse about this kind of thing. Journalists are always about the #RespectTheBiz life, and it usually bothers the shit out of me. But this is just a dumb thing for Bron to do honestly. What does he get out of being mad at a reporter? No matter how good James is, he will never shake the fact that this generation’s best player is one of the most sensitive of all-time in all of sports. He has a weird way of dealing with losing and calls that go against him, and James has never been able to shake that. It’s part of his game. I guess if you’re looking for a comparison in NBA, it’s Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who couldn’t handle a negative thing said about him.
If you want to spin zone this a little bit, LeBron might think this diverts the attention of his bad game to these comments towards a reporter? Still, this is an odd look by him.
