Let Charlie Culberson Be Happy, C’mon.

Of course, we had an amazing World Series game last night. One of the best baseball games I’ve seen in the last five years. It’s right up there with Game 7 from last year’s affair and countless others. That said, we have people who are trying to shit on Los Angeles Dodgers utility player Charlie Culberson’s reaction after his home run that brought the Los Angeles Dodgers one run closer in the bottom of the eleven. Sure, that didn’t tie the game, but do you know the career of Culberson?
THe seldomly used infielder played on three teams in his short career, and in each season, he’s spent a majority of his time in the minor leagues. Culberson played the most in 2014 with Colorado when he was in 95 games. For his career, he has SIX total home runs. This isn’t a Yasiel Puig-type where homers come naturally for this guy. They happen very infrequently, and the celebration was him being happy for himself that he hit a home run in the World Series. How cool is that? No matter what happens with your career, you hit a home run in the World Series.
Let’s stop trying to be a dick about it. I saw Dallas Keuchel’s comment and thought he shouldn’t be miffed at all about something like this. If Houston uses it as motivation, it will be the biggest eye roll ever. Their bullpen is still a miss, amid what happened last night, and Dave Roberts overmanaged that one badly.
Game 3 gets set for Friday night.
Charlie.
