With the Memorial Day weekend, we’re a little behind on news here on the Tap. We did see a funny thing that popped up with Adrian Peterson. The former Vikings, Saints and Cardinals running back said that he had desire to be a Green Bay Packer this season. That’s laugh out loud funny. I appreciate guys wanting to be members of the Packers, and Green Bay apparently had interest in him last season. This is unlike the Packers team of old where they lack the need for a running back. Green Bay is surprisingly deep at this position.

Adrian Peterson was asked where he could see himself playing in 2018:

Peterson is too dense to see the full picture here. That doesn’t surprise me. Jamaal Williams is a solid running back. Aaron Jones is the next superstar of this team. And Devante Mays is a fine third running back if needed. Green Bay doesn’t have room for Peterson. AD wants to be in Green Bay to get revenge on Minnesota like Greg Jennings, Brett Favre did vice versa. If he really wanted to play the Vikings twice of year with the best chance at playing time, it’s Detroit. Sure, LeGarrette Blount is there now, but the team lacked a running back for years and still does even with Blount there.
