Michigan Offensive Lineman Needs A Football Lesson

Kalis says he felt the hit on Newsome was a cheap shot. Defender went right at his knee.

Lineman are a sensitive bunch. Even though, they are the biggest guys on the team, they are some of the more softer individuals and have a nice side to them unlike other positions on the field. One of the fellow Michigan lineman, Ryan Kalis, believed Derrick Tindal’s hit on Wolverine lineman Grant Newsome was ‘cheap.’ If you remember this play, Newsome pulled out to the flat and Tindall dove at his knees to take down the lineman and effectively break out the play (Which he did). That’s football. Every secondary member is taught to do that to lineman so don’t give me this bullshit about it being a dirty play. That’s garbage. What about when lineman cut defenders, is that dirty? It’s the same concept.
For a team that beat Wisconsin and is fourth in the nation, they sure are an insecure bunch at Michigan. There’s a rivalry brewing here, and I hope these two meet again in Indianapolis come December.
