Milwaukee Bars Gearing Up To Be Outdoors Amid Cold Temps
There has been an elephant in the room looming for awhile. What are bars going to do when it gets cold outside? The push for outdoor spaces has been massive in the time of COVID-19. Due to the science that tells us it is better to be outside than inside, most bars have created more outdoor space than less. Young people have no problem going out at bars when the weather is nice. They can rock their mask, get a drink, and be satisfied. What happened when temps dip below 60 like expected tonight? Well, some bars are already thinking ahead. The Nomad World Pub introduced its ‘Endless Summer’ concept on Instagram yesterday.
They call it the start, so, my assumption is they will make sure the space heaters are present and do what they can to provide a warm, yet safe environment for everyone. This can be the expected trend across the Milwaukee bar scene. It is costly to make sure heaters are applied and at some point, it will probably get too cold regardless of any space heater. But for now, it works. Not surprised to see The Nomad out in front given the popularity of their patio.
I assume that Milwaukee will extend their mask mandate beyond the state’s ruling. Wisconsin governor Tony Evers will see the statewide mandate run out next Saturday. There is talk of an extension, but no word on if that will happen but certainly will know in the coming days and weeks.
