MIRCURL ON ICE! U.S. Curling Gets the Gold

After the U.S. Women’s Hockey team won their gold medal, the men’s curling team shocked Canada to advance to the finals. It was a whirlwind of surprises for the United States. While hockey could have been expected, curling definitely was not. They met Sweden in the finals. Apparently, Sweden is the best team in the world when it comes to curling, and it would be a massive upset if the United States could pull it off. Well, they did. U.S. wins a gold in curling. John Schuster, the leader of the team, made the shot of the lifetime in the 8th period.

What an incredible shot. Full transparency, I watched the first five periods then fell asleep as I had to get up this morning at 7:00 am. I know, no excuses, play like a champion, but I had to be fresh this morning for non-blog reasons. Still, this is amazing. People may view these games as a disappointment with the failures in figure skating and skiing being less than stellar, yet, there were some amazing moments to finish it off like the U.S. Women Hockey and U.S. Men’s Curling teams.
