One of the more talked about Badgers games from last season was NC State vs. Wisconsin. It featured Brad Davison taking five total changes in the game including a charge that won the game for Wisconsin. It took Davison to another level in the national media landscape with Scott Van Pelt and others discussing charges in basketball. NC State fans were not happy with the outcome, and it appears they’re going to get the chance to see Davison in their home gym next year as the ACC and Big Ten announced their challenge yesterday. Wisconsin and NC State will go at it on Wednesday night.

There are some great selections here for the other games in the challenge. We get the rematch of Virginia-Purdue at Mackey Arena after the heartbreaking overtime loss by Purdue in the Elite Eight. We get another NCAA Tournament rematch with Duke playing at Michigan State. And a personal favorite, the One Shining Podcast bowl with Ohio State pitted against North Carolina. Wisconsin-NC State is definitely part of the undercard, but a matchup with its own storyline. My guess is the Wolfpack fans’ reception to Buzzcut Brad will be less than savory when these two teams meet in early December.
