Should Packers Make Another Run At Peppers?

On Monday, long-time defensive end Julius Peppers announced that he will return to the National Football League for another season. Peppers is a free agent like everyone else important on Green Bay’s team. This isn’t a decision that Packers will have to make on Thursday when NFL Free Agency gets under way. But it might be one they settle on sometime during the summer. For a one-year deal, it makes sense for Green Bay to bring him back in the fold.
Peppers isn’t an impact player like he used to be, but he finds a way to have his nose in a couple of plays per game. Let’s not forget he had 7.5 sacks last season at age 37. That’s ridiculous. We keep seeing edge rushers extend their careers like Dwight Freeney who played a prominent role with Atlanta Falcons. And let’s be real, Peppers makes a Super Bowl ring. He’s not going to sign with the fucking Cleveland Browns. There are only a few teams that Peppers will probably end up on, and they all have a chance at winning the Super Bowl.
We shall see if Green Bay brings back the future Hall of Famer.
Charlie.
