Protests Continue On Week 1 of NFL

Colin Kaepernick’s protest movement continued on Week 1 of NFL Sunday. People expected more with eyeballs directly on today’s games even though it’s a very sensitive day for the United States as it was the 15th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. There were different forms of protests all over the league. Four Miami football players including Arian Foster and Kenny Stills took a knee during the anthem. Martellus Bennett and Devin McCourty of New England held up the black power fist. Same goes for Kansas City’s Marcus Peters and a few Tennessee Titans players. Seattle and Kansas City’s players linked arms together in probably the most powerful move of them all. To me, this showed unity more than anything we’ve seen in the last couple of weeks. Hope that kind of thing happens more often in the coming weeks.
