There’s A Major Avril Lavigne Conspiracy Happening

Good morning on a Monday. I didn’t expect to write about Avril Lavigne, but here we are. There’s a big time conspiracy going around the internet this weekend about the former pop wannabe punk superstar being actually dead and replaced by a clone. It’s a super long thread, but the thing grew to trend on Twitter by Sunday night. There are so many questions I have because honestly, there is some evidence to the conspiracy which in turn makes it a good theory.

My recommendation is to try and piece through this thread. It started on Friday and gained legs throughout the weekend. There’s basically a clone named Melissa who are posing as Avril, and they were originally best friends as Melissa worked a body double for Avril who did not want to be in public. Lavinge killed herself in 2003 when she was on an all-time high, and Melissa took her spot. It goes on and on. People point to the looks, the lyrics, mannerisms and everything else under the sun.
Here’s where I throw a big stay woke in everyone’s fucking face. What if Avril herself wanted to get this story out and get attention on her for the first time in years. When was the last time you heard about Lavigne before this weekend? She hasn’t put out music in four years. All of the sudden, she’s back in the mix of popular culture with just a simple conspiracy theory.
Charlie.
