What We Missed in Wisconsin This Week
What’s going on, Tappers? Sorry for the lack of posts and podcasts this week, I’ve been out on business for the day job over the last two days. I always hope that when I’m out on business that I can keep feeding the SnoTapWI machine. But I’m back, we taped a podcast last night with Mitch Ross and I (Live on your podcast feeds) and ready to dole out some hot fire for the Tappers. Here’s what I missed this week from a blogging perspective in the State of Wisconsin from sports to fun stuff.
– Bucks win Game 2: Happy to see the Milwaukee Bucks take care of business on Tuesday night. Things did not look encouraging in the first half even with Milwaukee leading at halftime. But in the second half, they turned it on in a major way. Giannis Antetokounmpo had 29 points, Khris Middleton had 28 points with Eric Bledsoe adding 21 points. The big three carried them in this one. I love the idea of Middleton running point with Giannis flushed on the wing. I can not fucking wait for Game 3 tonight.
– Blowouts everywhere: This is a ‘careful what you asked for’, honestly, but every Bucks playoff game has been a blowout. They’re 5-1 in the playoffs with all games being won by 10 or more. Will the Bucks be in a close game tonight or Monday versus Boston? Am I asking for pain like I’m Chuck Rhodes from Billions here? I have a feeling it’s going to happen and will probably want to puke?
– Brewers have an up and down week: We’ll talk about Thursday game later today, but the Brewers had such a weird game on Wednesday night with the Chase Anderson scenario with his lacerated finger. I am really hoping that it doesn’t fuck with the Brewers in the next few games. They have six straight games until a day off next Thursday, and their bullpen is completely shot to hell.
– A decision is coming on Christian Yelich – He did not play for the entire series against the Colorado Rockies with a bad back. My guess is we will see a choice on the Injured List today. If Yelich goes on, that’s a major loss for the team obviously. The more important is that Yelich gets healthy with the team.
– Milwaukee is pushing for a 4:00 am bar close for the DNC: Part of me wanted to get the hell out of Milwaukee for the Democratic National Convention due to the amount of people, but now, reports are out that the bars might be open until 4:00 am. That’s very intriguing. I sent this to a few people and got absolutely roasted. Apparently, a 30-year-old can not be excited about bars being open until 4:00 am.
Alright, let’s go and have a great weekend.
Charlie.
