This is your Bucks Buzz wrap-up giving you a look at what’s happening with Milwaukee’s professional basketball team. Bucks split a weekend again in the exact same fashion as last weekend winning on Saturday at home versus Sacramento and losing on the road in Dallas. Milwaukee sits at 4-3 on the year. Still, this is an encouraging start for the Bucks.

Milwaukee 117 Sacramento 91
Player of the Game (Bucks): Mirza Teletovic – This is exactly the reason why Milwaukee brought in Mirza. There will be games this season where he gets the hot hand early on and never looks back. Teletovic made seven threes on nine attempts resulting in a season-high and game-high 22 points. Great game from him. I do think Jason Kidd is right bringing him off the bench.

Not Player of the Game (Bucks): None – Hard-pressed to really call out anyone from Saturday’s game. Even the players who had rough shooting nights like Tony Snell and Malcolm Brogdon were productive in other parts of the game such as rebounding and finding the open man.

Player of the Game (Kings): Garrett Temple – The former Buck tried to show out against his former team in garbage time with 19 points and five made three point baskets. Temple always seemed like a good dude, and it’s nice he’s found a sustainable career formerly with Washington and now with Sacramento.

Dallas 86 Milwaukee 75 (OT)
Player of the Game (Bucks): Greg Monroe – It would be crazy if Greg Monroe stayed in Milwaukee and ended up with Sixth Man of the Year accolades when it’s all said and done. He had another productive night off the bench with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Still, he needs to cut down on turnovers. Five from a big man is not going to get it done.

Not Player of the Game (Bucks): Jason Terry – What an ugly return to Dallas for The Jet who shot the Bucks out of having a chance in the fourth quarter. Terry missed four threes in the final quarter, and they weren’t very good shots to begin with. I get it’s a back-to-back, but with a blowout on Saturday, there’s no reason for balanced minutes in this game. C’mon.

Player of the Game (Mavs): Harrison Barnes – How about the former Golden State Warriors swingman dropping 34 on Milwaukee last night? Bucks had zero answer fro Barnes in this game. No one could really check him and his inside/out game proved to be a significant issue for the team. Not sure what they could have done differently with Barnes who did most of his damage inside the three-point line.

Up Next
Milwaukee gets three days off before taking on New Orleans on Thursday night. Like Dallas, New Orleans is winless on the season with games in Golden State and Sacramento before visiting the Cream City. Bucks have a golden opportunity for another W come Thursday night.
