A story came out last night reported on by ESPN’s Marc Stein and Zach Lowe that Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks will not be staying at Trump hotels when they play in Chicago or New York. Now, I want to get this out hear loud and clear, I respect the hell out of Stein and Lowe. They are two of the best at their jobs. That being said, I’m struggling to find a topic I care less about with the Milwaukee professional basketball team. It’s a grand ole version of much ado about nothing.

The biggest thing I care about when it comes to Bucks’ hotel is did they get a good night sleep? If Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jabari Parker and company got a good night’s rest, that’s all I really care about, not where they are actually staying in some city. Am I surprised by this move from Milwaukee? Not one bit. One of the Bucks owners Marc Lasry is long-time friends with Clinton family, and his son Alex probably campaigned more for Hillary Clinton in the State of Wisconsin than the Democratic nominee. If this is the team’s way to make a statement, it’s a lame one that no one should really spend much time on. It’s a fucking place to sleep.

At some point, I hope this all dies down. I don’t think it will but it’s a different world than it was in early November.
