Jrue Holiday & Khris Middleton Accomplish Something Only Jordan & Pippin Did

Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton have won a gold medal. The United States beat France in a very uneven game and got it done in the final minutes of the game. Holiday played a large role in the United States’ success. The amount of love that Holiday is set to get to start this season is going to be off the charts. It truly helps the Milwaukee Bucks’ persona as a team with Giannis then Kool Khris as well. Middleton had a few moments, but nothing like Jrue. These two guys are the first teammates to win an NBA Finals and a gold medal in the same year since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen did it with the original Dream Team in 1992.

What a summer for both Holiday and Middleton. Milwaukee’s big three needs to get the respect that they deserved. People like to act as if they’re not one of the best big three in the game, and that’s foolish. ESPN had a thing last week where they asked who is the more formidable big three ‘Nets or Lakers?’ Now, it’s the mothership and this is what they do, yet shouldn’t of the question been ‘Is this big three good enough to compete with the Bucks’ big three?’ I do think the narrative on Milwaukee has changed and this only helps things. So happy for Jrue and Khris.
