Matt LaFleur Should Be Working on the Elgton Jenkins Tight End Package

Is it fair to say that once the players put on pads like the Packers did yesterday, training camp officially starts? With the pandemic lessening, the players are meeting with media members more often and we’re getting some great clips out of these guys. Now, Green Bay has a lot of personalities which plays a large part in why we’re getting elite soundbites each day. For example, Matt LaFleur joked the other day that he was thinking about putting Elgton Jenkins at tight end. Jenkins met with the media yesterday and said he believes himself at that position. I’m all about it.
Matt LaFleur said the other day (jokingly, I think) that he might put Elgton Jenkins at tight end.

We need to see Jenkins at tight end or fullback. LaFleur needs to make this a reality. The dude is a complete freak. He can play all five positions at the offensive line. What’s to say he cannot give the Green Bay Packers a look at the tight end or fullback position around the goal line? If LaFleur decides to bust this out, my guess is we will not see it until after David Bakhtiari comes back. No way, they do this if Jenkins is their left tackle even if that might make it slightly easier. But yes, it’s not going to surprise me if Jenkins gets a look at tight end before the season concludes.
