Let it be known, I like Odell Beckham Jr. I had no issues with him on the boat. I did say, that ‘Packers players could take it as a sign of disrespect’, and ‘This might not play well in the media.’ Beckham Jr. had such a weird season. It started with people worried about his theatrics during the game then Odell had some monster games and ended with this whole boating incident. He’s going to face a lot of pressure from New York media for the next few months. Beckham Jr. threw a temper tantrum after the game banging his head against the locker room door and punching a hole in the wall.

Odell is an emotional dude. I love that about him. No one can ever say he ‘doesn’t care about the game of football.’ That being said, this move was pure optics by him. Beckham Jr. tried his best to spin zone what happened out on the field. If he makes a couple catches early, Giants are up 14-0, and we might be looking at a different game. People are going to blame the drops on a ‘lack of focus’ which is stupid and irrelevant. If anything, Odell had some nerves out there. First playoff game and Beckham Jr. knows what the consequence will be if he doesn’t have a big game.

Media is going to kill him tomorrow, and I’ll feel bad but the anger after the game didn’t help anything.
