First big roster move happened with Marquette Golden Eagles as Sandy Cohen decided to leave the program. This shouldn’t be a surprise to Marquette fans. Cohen has seen his time on the court decrease significantly, and he really wasn’t the same player Marquette first saw in his freshman year. It’s sad to see a local kid not pan out for the Golden Eagles, but it was smart of Cohen to move on to greener pastures elsewhere.
In the limited run he received this season, Cohen has been very underwhelming with turnovers and poor play all over the place. He’s buried into the depth chart, and there’s no real sign of him getting out. He’ll find a place to continue his career, and hopefully his time away from basketball, Cohen will regain his shot. There seems to be no ill feelings by Cohen which is good.
Marquette will shoulder on with what they have on their roster which is quite a bit. They’re loaded at the guard position currently, but that can always change with injuries, transfers, etc.
Charlie.
