SnoTapWI Badgers Preview: BYU vs. Wisconsin

Last year, Wisconsin went to Utah in hopes of boosting their score to the College Football Playoff committee. They played BYU, and it ended up that the Cougars were complete ass. The win did not look like much. Wisconsin is hoping it’s a little different this year. BYU is an improved team who brings a good amount of talent back from last year’s team. Wisconsin looks to keep their non-conference home unbeaten alive. Badgers have won 41 straight home games against non-Big Ten teams.
Can Jonathan Taylor fix his fumbles? – If there would be a knock of Jonathan Taylor’s season thus far, it’s the fumbles. An issue that plagued him in the past came back this season. He fumbled in his two games. BYU knows this and will be going after the ball obsessively. It would be great to see Taylor play a clean game before the Big Ten season. If not, this will be the one thing people point to as a way to beat Wisconsin. The Badgers running back needs to hold on to the football. It hasn’t cost Wisconsin a game yet, but it could rear its ugly head at any moment.
How much time will Danny Davis get? – Another good question with the Wisconsin Badgers. Danny Davis is coming off a suspension for being the right-hand man of QUinte Cephus during the night of his alleged sexcual assault. Davis looked good in practice, and my guess is he will be the third receiver for this time. A.J. Taylor took the reign of the one spot with Kendric Pryror right there. Look Davis to play a lot in the slot.
Tanner Mangum presents a new look – Reminder to Badgers fans that Tanner Mangum did not play last season. He had an injury, but Magnum showed some flashes of being a good quarterback. He isn’t a duel-threat guy, but he can do it with his feet when needed. Reading the local news on him, the fans want him out as quarterback, but he still can sling it. Good test for Wisconsin especially considering they have a very talented quarterback in Nate Stanley next week.
Prediction: Wisconsin wins, but I don’t think they over the -21.5. I’m going with 34-17
