The Bucks Will Remember Trae Young’s Shimmy for Game 2 and Beyond

Trae Young had an electric Game 1. You have to give him his props. Young played really well in this game. Milwaukee’s game plan for Young was not what I expected it to be. My expectation would be that Jrue Holiday is on him like white on rice. But that didn’t entirely happen until the fourth quarter. Young had 48 points which is an iconic performance as he continues to build his legacy. The most viral thing that Young did in this one was a shimmy after he shook Holiday and scored his 37th point of the game. While that shimmy was great for TikTok, Instagram, I do wonder if he poked the bear for Milwaukee.
The shoulder shimmy from Trae is SAVAGE

Giannis was not pleased about this move right after it happened.

Go back and watch the fourth quarter again. Young did enough to bring his guys back, but he had a ton of bad shots. They were all from the outside because Milwaukee tightened the screws on him. He only scored eleven points in the final quarter of this game and most of it was on free throws. Kevin Wildes noted that this shimmy could be the LeBron mocking Jae Crowder of this series. I don’t doubt it. I have 0.0 problems with Young doing it even if it’s annoying against your squad, but it feels like a move that perks the Bucks up. It did in the fourth quarter and let’s see if that carries over to Game 2.
