I love writing recaps. They’re fun and it helps me retain more of what happened in the game. That said, y’all don’t read them often. That’s okay. I’m not here to shame anyone, rather, I’m trying to find out what works the best for everyone. How does everyone get on board with the idea of a recap that might be a little different than what you read from our friends at the Journal Sentinel or even a place like Brew Hoop. I’m going to keep swinging with different ideas. Here’s the latest one.

1. Bucks do not always need Giannis to be the guy – Khris Middleton had a great game last night. He owns the Celtics. It is easily one of his favorite teams to play. Why does Middleton do so well against Boston? I think it’s partly matchups and the lack of an interior presence gives him more room to operate around the paint. Midds finished with 27 points and 13 rebounds.

2. Are we sure that Giannis Antetokounmpo is alright? – He dealt with a knee sprain on Monday then came back on Wednesday. Giannis didn’t do much against a Celtics team that typically has success again. Giannis only finished with 13 points. For whatever it’s worth he did fill up the stat sheet having eight rebounds and seven assists to go along with the points. It would not surprise if we see Antetokounmpo down for either Friday or Saturday’s game before the Bucks head out West.

3. Bucks might have fixed Brook Lopez – Not sure if you’re paying attention, but Brook Lopez has been great over the last couple of weeks for Milwaukee. He scored double-digits yet again for Milwaukee with 17. And again, most of them came in the paint. Lopez is catching these light lobs from the perimeter and putting them in. He scored 17 points and took advantage of the smaller Celtics down low.

Next up; Milwaukee and Boston meet again on Friday night. ESPN will also be carrying that game which is a good thing for us in the cord-cutting world. We’ll see if the Celtics can use the motivation of the final two quarters to power themselves against Milwaukee. Boston is in that bunched-up Eastern Conference, and they need to start winning.
