Tyler Herro Chooses Wisconsin over Marquette

Tyler Herro, a 6’4 guard from Whitnall High School, committed to Wisconsin over Marquette and countless other schools yesterday. Herro figures to be one of the top players coming out of Wisconsin for the 2018 class, therefore, this is a great grab by Greg Gard and the team at Wisconsin. It’s the first time in awhile we’ve seen Wisconsin beat out Marquette for a recruit especially in the Southeastern part of the state. That being said, Marquette has their eyes on multiple talented players and losing out on Herro is just a speed bump.
He’s a scorer who can do it with the ball and off-the-ball. The four-star recruit has a silky shot from deep and will provide scoring when he arrives in Madison.
Now, things will get interesting with Joey Hauser. He’s the most talented player in the state and with one scholarship left for Wisconsin, they will focus on him majorly unless he goes the Ellenson route and plays with his older brother at Marquette.
