Welcome To Overreaction Warrior Wednesday

Golden State Warriors began their season last night with a 129-100 drubbing by San Antonio Spurs. A team they had handled pretty well in the regular season in 2015, and the new-look Spurs beat their ass from start to finish. Spurs bench scored 54 points while Warriors only scored a measly 16. The takes that will come today will be amazing, and something that might top what we saw when Miami Heat first began with the Heatles.
“This team will be lucky to win the Pacific”
“Klay Thompson on the trading block?”
“Kevin Durant is a cancer”
“Steve Kerr is in over his head”
“Steph Curry still not over NBA Finals”
These are all quotes that I wouldn’t be surprised to see from a talking head. It is one game. I will also say it’s fucking weird to lose by 29 to any team when you’re supposed to be this good. Maybe, Golden State has more holes than we think and should reassess if they are that good of a basketball team. But let’s wait for a couple weeks before making that leap. Warriors head to New Orleans on Friday night for Game 2.
