Zion Williamson’s First Shoe Features a Marquette Colorway & It’s Sick
Zion Williamson debuted his new shoe last week. The Zion 1 was met with pretty good reviews. People seemed to really like the shoe. It does seem like Nike and Jordan Brand are very good at putting out the first shoe for a player that everyone likes. The Zoom Freak 1’s were also met with great reviews which were Giannis Antetokounmpo’s first shoe. It’s a smart business model, right? The first shoe play it a little more conservative and ensure that a ton of people buy it. The Zion 1’s feature a colorway for Marquette basketball and if you’re a fan of basketball shoes and a Marquette fan, these seem like a must-buy.

There are a lot of things to like about this shoe. For starters, the blue and white work perfectly together. They blend nicely and create a very nice look. I also like the subtle gold and championship blue on the heel almost creating a camouflage look to it. Then having ‘MU’ on the tongue doesn’t hurt either whether it’s for the players or the fans. While I did say these are must-buy, the only real way to know now in Milwaukee whether they’re worth a damn is if Milwaukee Bucks’ forward P.J. Tucker rocks them. He is the king of sneakers in the NBA, so, if he gives the sign off then it’s all hands on deck.
