Milwaukee Brewers had an eventful weekend with rainy weather in Pittsburgh, and their minor league program, Carolina Mudcats, had themselves a wedding proposal by one of their players. Brewers minor leaguer Weston Wilson proposed to his girlfriend after she threw out the first pitch on Saturday. I’m not a fan of public proposals, but this is an A-plus effort from Brewers minor leaguer.

Wilson planned out the whole thing weeks ago and got his manager on board to put the wheels in motion. Naturally, the minor league team went along with it because they love this sort of shit. Anything to go viral is right up the minor league’s alley. It’s also good to see Wilson’s girlfriend said yes, so we didn’t have to deal with a ugly non-proposal like last week’s Cubs-Red Sox game. I’m curious to know how she felt about the public proposal initially.

Additionally, I need this to be an episode of Season 2 of ‘Brockmire’ where Jim Brockmire talks a couple out of getting married in the midst of an on-field proposal.
