Pat McAfee Retires & Joins Barstool Sports

On Wednesday afternoon, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell met with the media in his usual ‘State of the Union.’ Some media member asked him about the ban on Barstool Sports this week. Goodell acted like he hadn’t heard of such a thing and made it into a bigger story. Well now, he better know the name because Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee joined Barstool Sports in a stunning decision to leave the National Football League and millions of dollars.

To me, McAfee is doing what he wants to do at this point of his life. I could sense that McAfee is probably getting job with Barstool given the amount of time on air, but now, it’s official as he leaves football at age 29. Sure, no one wants to leave like 6.5 million dollars, but the guy is clearly over the whole idea about surgeries (Three in four years). And he knows there’s a great deal of opportunity, and the window might not be there next year or the year after. McAfee can always come back to football if he misses it.

Huge day for Barstool. It’s everywhere and will be one of the bigger stories tomorrow all over the country. They’ve done the damn thing when it’s come to getting their name out for the people to see.
Charlie.
