This is Bucks Buzz, your daily recap of what happened in last night’s (or tonight’s) Bucks game. We look at the the best and worst things of what happened in that game as well as look towards the future.

Player of the Game: Giannis Anetokounmpo (Bucks) – Another day, another game where Giannis is the best player of the court. Giannis helped bring Milwaukee back with 26 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists. That’s a crazy stat line for Greek Freak. If you don’t think he’s an All-Star this year, you’re outside of your mind. He’s playing great for this Bucks team. But Giannis cannot be the only one.

(Not) Player of the Game: Jason Terry (Bucks) – I’m sure Jason Terry’s leadership is a good one, but he played a part in the Bucks tanking in the second quarter. Terry had an awful stretch of basketball which resulted in no points in nine minutes. In the last five games, Terry played nearly 14 minutes and is averaging less than a point per game. Do you know how hard that is? Terry can’t even run into a basket.

Player of the Game: Paul Millsap (Hawks) – In the least surprising news of the day, Paul Millsap had a big day against Bucks. He’s a Bucks killer without question and put together another nice stat line. He seemed to be there whenever Atlanta needed a big basket. Millsap finished with 21 points and eight rebounds.

Positive: Bucks battled back – Milwaukee were getting absolutely housed in this game. Atlanta had a large lead, and frankly, it was depressing given the up and down nature of Bucks this season. It’s good to see them fight and not wave the white flag. Jabari Parker started 1-of-8 from the field and finished 10-for-20 which is really good. Mirza Teletovic started raining threes in the second half which played a large part in the comeback for Bucks.

Negative: Kidd’s second unit choices – Milwaukee lost this game because of the second unit Jason Kidd put out in the end of the first quarter and early second. Kidd needs to do a better job of how he selects these units. There’s no reason Terry should be in there. Same goes for Miles Plumlee’s broke ass currently. Tonight will be a good way to see if Kidd adjusts on the fly.

Next Up: Tonight, Milwaukee heads to Miami for a back-to-back. Bucks need this win. Heat are 2-8 to start the season, and Milwaukee can ill-afford to lose two straight with Golden State Warriors looming on Saturday. Milwaukee is 0-2 in the second game of a back-to-back this season, but they did win twice versus Miami last season.
