Derek Carr Already Pressing for Adams to Join in Las Vegas Is Expected

In the NBA, there is tampering. It’s not legal. It is something teams get fined for pretty regularly in the association. We saw our Milwaukee Bucks pick one up. Philadelphia recently got one. It’s very common. But in the NFL, there are no real rules for tampering. They have legal tampering right before free agency starts and that’s about it from this side of the table. Therefore, what Las Vegas quarterback Derek Carr did yesterday is not considered tampering. He talked to the local media about his relationship with Davante Adams and how it would be great to have him in Vegas. They made their intentions know that Adams will be a priority for Vegas if he cannot deal done with the Packers..
From @FresnoStateFB ➡️@Raiders? @derekcarrqb all in and ready to recruit @tae15adams when the time comes. I think we all want to see Adams, Carr, and @jakehaener10 battle on the course 😂 @ABC30 pic.twitter.com/BogxTgZKp8

The hilarious thing here is the fact Carr has maybe two years left in Vegas. He is a free agent in 2023, and I don’t know if the Raiders are sold that Carr is the long-term option for the team. It’s not surprising that Carr wants to play with his former teammate. Do you blame him? Adams has been great and it’s known that he is a free agent next Spring. Of course, Vegas would try to make a play on him. There will be others on the West Coast trying to bring in the Cali kid. If Adams doesn’t get a deal done (Assumed that he will), any team with cap space will probably make a move for him.
Best way to quiet Carr and any of this noise down is getting a deal done. Let’s hope Green Bay gets one sooner rather than later.
