This is a story to root for with Green Bay Packers. Nevada’s running back Don Jackson comes from the roughest of rough childhoods, and now, he’s going to be on the big stage on Thursday night football. This is a tremendous story by Bill Huber who broke the story Jackson will be promoted today to the active roster. He will present a different look than Eddie Lacy. Jackson is a speed back as he ran a 4.47 40 at his pro day, and if Green Bay can get him in space, he could be off to the races for six points. My guess is we will see Jackson in the five to 12 carries range, but it’s hard to know how much Mike McCarthy will use him.

If anyone deserves a roster spot, it’s this kid. I hope it works for him.
