Fort Wayne Mastodons Stun 3. Indiana

Oh. My. Goodness. Number three Indiana visited in-state mid-major IPFW, also known as Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne or just Fort Wayne. They play in the Summit Conference and won 24 games last year falling to North Dakota State in the conference championship game to get their first NCAA Tournament berth. They might have a win bigger than that bid as Fort Wayne beats Indiana in the biggest college basketball upset of the season thus far.
Indiana could never take a true lead against Mastodons in the second half or overtime period. As much as the Hoosiers came close with knotting it up or taking a one basket lead, it never moved further than that. Tom Crean, bless his heart, returns to the hot seat. It’s a stupid place for him to be right now, but Indiana basketball fans are nuttier than most Trump protesters. He’ll be fine, but this is a damaging blow for them come tournament time if Fort Wayne isn’t a top 100-150 RPI team which doesn’t look likely. Related, this is one of the funniest tweets I’ve ever seen and I’m mad it took me until tonight to see it.
