Keon Broxton Makes Brewers’ Catch of the Year

The 2018 Milwaukee Brewers seem to have a flair for dramatics. They’ve had a few walkoffs and moments that could make a fantastic YouTube compilation. One of the best plays happened on Wednesday afternoon with Keon Broxton making an amazing catch to rob Brian Dozier of a home run in the ninth inning. This is Broxton’s third catch at the wall in the last week. All of those games have ended in one run victories for the Milwaukee Brewers. Keon continues to have an amazing week with the team.

I saw his catch on Monday night, and this is 1000 times better. Yes, the magnitude of the moment is bigger here, but the way he tracks this ball is fantastic. He fully extended for this baseball and kept in his glove. Broxton could have dropped that ball and could have been a double or triple for Dozier. If that’s the case, Eduardo Escobar ties up the game at the next at-bat. Man, I can’t make a case for why Broxton should go back to AAA. I really think he needs to be the fourth outfielder on this team.
