Tapping The Keg Game Review: Sometimes, Baseball is a Dumb Sport.

Milwaukee Brewers lost only their fifth game since the All-Star Break. I don’t know about you guys, but I got used to winning every game. It feels like the Brewers aren’t going to lose every time they hit the diamond. This is obviously unrealistic. It’s a long second half and of course, there will be games where the Brewers lose them. Last night was one of these games. It was the first game in a while where the Brewers lost one that they shouldn’t have. They were up 4-0 in the seventh inning with Adrian Houser pitching a no-hitter. That is probably a win, eight or nine times out of ten, but last night, it turned into a loss with an ugly seventh inning then bad luck all over the place. We covered in last night’s Tapping The Keg review.
PIRATES 8 BREWERS 5: What a dumb baseball loss. Still can’t be that mad at the Crew. #Thisismycrew #brewers pic.twitter.com/SfoTKNkHK3

Look, these are just dumb ways to lose baseball games. This is one of them. Consider this. If not for Gregory Polanco, the Brewers don’t lose. He robs Eduardo Escobar at the wall which wouldn’t have happened if they weren’t playing on the warning track. Then he hits a duck fart to short and because of the shift, no one is there. If they’re in a normal defensive position, that’s an out. I admire Wily Adames taking responsibility for not making that play, but that’s a tough out. He shouldn’t be too hard on himself.
