At some point, Milwaukee Bucks will figure out how to close out close games. That point didn’t come on Monday night as Bucks fall to Washington Wizards again, 107-102. Bucks went 3-3 in their back-to-back fest, and they really could have went 5-1. There are so many either or games for Milwaukee in the month of December. It’s the sign of a young team, but at some point, Jason Kidd needs to adjust with his team in the fourth quarter.

Player of the Game (Bucks): Greg Monroe – We always have good Giannis Antetokounmpo games to talk about so we’ll do some for the Moose. He played great tonight with 16 points and five rebounds. Monroe looked great off the bench, and he helped carry Bucks to their fourth quarter lead. It’s a shame Kidd thought John Henson should be in there to finish the game.

(Not) Player of the Game (Bucks): John Henson – Pretty forgettable game for Henson. As noted, he shouldn’t have got the final four minutes in the game, and Henson only pulled down three rebounds. Bucks aren’t going to win many games when their big men aren’t pulling down boards. Henson needs to be better that.

Player of the Game (Wizards): Otto Porter – Another game against Milwaukee, another big one for Otto Porter. He had one of the best nights in the NBA with 32 points and 13 rebounds. He became Washington’s go-to guy when they needed a big score. Porter hit the corner three to put Washington up four with 49 seconds left which made it tougher on Milwaukee.

Positive: Big Tony Snell game – I loved seeing Tony Snell going off for 20 points with six three-pointers. He broke out of a slump with six three pointers. This is only his third double-digit scoring game in his last eleven games. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come.

Negative: We have a Matthew Dellavedova problem – This isn’t a good thing. Matthew Dellavedova is not the player for Bucks in the fourth quarter. For whatever reason, Delly thinks he’s LeBron fucking James when it comes to final moments of the game. Dellavedova missed two straight shots, he had a late turnover plus an ill-advised drive to the hoop that was blocked by Marcin Gortat. Bucks aren’t a playoff team with Dellavedova playing point guard in crunch time.

Next Up: Milwaukee stays on the road for matchup in Detroit. They’ll set the tone for upcoming Packers-Lions showdown. Pistons broke a five-game losing streak on Monday beating Cleveland sans LeBron. Weird trends with these two teams. Pistons have won four straight after Bucks won four straight.
