Here’s Why Davante Adams Isn’t Getting a Contract Extension
Some of you might be wondering why Davante Adams is not getting paid by the Green Bay Packers. It’s a fair question. Adams is going to be a free agent at the end of next season. Adams will likely get the highest-paid wide receiver money even if the Houston Texas completely fucked that market up. There is a good chance that Adams will not be a Packer when that happens. Green Bay does not have that much money left and needs to pay other guys. The other guys such as Jaire Alexander, Elgton Jenkins, Darnell Savage will be cheaper than Adams and will still help the team.
I see two scenarios that are very possible next season. One is the one I mentioned in the video. Adams could get a deal from the Packers, but it would likely mean that Aaron Rodgers is not your quarterback. Is he okay with that? There’s no supermax in football, so, my guess is Adams will pass and go play somewhere on the West Coast. The other scenario could be Rodgers staying and acknowledging working in tandem with leadership that not everyone can come back.
I worry 0.0% about Adams being a distraction. Things will be fine.
